Cellist Astrid Schween has gained a rich following 和 enjoys a varied career as a soloist, 室内乐艺术家兼教师. Since joining the Juilliard String Quartet in 2016, she has appeared at many of the world’s great concert halls including Carnegie Hall, 阿姆斯特丹Concertgebouw音乐厅, 维也纳金色大厅, 柏林音乐厅, Wigmore大厅, 林肯中心, 第92街Y, 拉维尼亚, 莱诺克斯, 肯尼迪中心, 并在中国各地巡回演出, 日本, 新加坡, 欧洲, 加拿大和美国.

16岁的时候, Astrid Schween made her concerto debut with the New York Philharmonic 和 conductor, 位于Zubin梅塔, who also arranged a special invitation for her to study privately in London with the legendary cellist, 杰奎琳身上. With degrees from the Juilliard School, Schween received her primary training under the guidance of Leonard Rose, 哈维·夏皮罗, 钱宁罗宾斯, Ardyth Alton和Dr. H.T. Ma, with additional studies under Bernard Greenhouse 和 Eugene Moye. She performed in master classes for Philippe Muller 和 William Pleeth, 和 also participated in the Marlboro Music Festival.

Astrid Schween maintains a lively solo performance schedule in addition to her extensive touring with the Juilliard String Quartet, 和 has been featured in Strings 和 Strad magazines, 在美国国家公共电台, 和 was a guest speaker on the topic, “Women in Music” at the Library of Congress.

A longtime member of the Lark Quartet, with whom she earned the Naumburg Chamber Music Award 和 Gold Medal at Russia’s Shostakovich Competition, her ongoing collaborations have included her role as cellist of the Boston Trio, frequent guest artist at the Boston Chamber Music 社会, 最近, regular appearances at the Seattle Chamber Music Festival, 莱诺克斯 Music Center 和 Heifetz Institute, as well as recital engagements with a variety of celebrated pianist colleagues, 包括Shai Wosner, Victor Asuncion 和 Adam Neiman. 今年夏天, she will be recording the Chopin Sonata for the Tone Base platform with pianist Noreen Cassidy Polera.
